College at a Glance
S.S.J.S. Namdhari College, Garhwa (Shri Sadguru Jagजीत Singh Namdhari College) was established in the year 1974 in Garhwa, Jharkhand, with the noble objective of imparting high-quality higher education in a region that was historically underserved. Over the last five decades, the college has emerged as a beacon of academic excellence and social upliftment.
Initially founded through community participation and philanthropic efforts of the local citizens and the Namdhari community under the inspiration of His Holiness Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji, the college became a Constituent Unit of Nilamber-Pitamber University (NPU) following the university's separation. Today, it stands as one of the premier co-educational constituent institutions under NPU, catering to more than 4,000 students in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams.
